Junker Test

In the field, vibration can cause loaded joints to loosen over time. To demonstrate the effectiveness of different bolt securing methods, Nord-Lock® uses the Junker Test. The Junker Test subjects bolted joints to extreme transverse vibration and measures the bolt stress using a load cell.

The Junker Test compares Nord-Lock® washers to other locking methods that are common to Western Canada. Although these methods are common, they prove to be ineffective when subjected to the vibrations of the Junker Test.
